On submission, reciprocity, and the delicious difference between being passive and making me wet.
There’s a phrase I’ve seen more times than I can count, usually somewhere in a man’s profile, usually offered like a gift: “I’m submissive. Summon me.” And every time I read it, my vagina gets a little drier. Of course I want to use you for my amusement. Of course I want the pleasure of deciding when I want you, sending a signal, and watching you gravitate toward me. What I don’t want is to be responsible for reminding you why you wanted to be at my feet in the first place.
Because when you sit back and wait to be summoned, what you’re often really telling me is: I want you to carry the desire in this dynamic. I want you to remember me, reach for me, stir me up, create the tension, and keep it alive. And then I want you to be pleased that I came when called.
That’s not submission. That’s a fucking job posting.
I’ve done this work for a long time. I have plenty of eager men who make the effort to see me. I do not have empty hours lying around in which I leaf through some imaginary Rolodex, wondering whom I should coax into wanting my attention today. If you sit quietly and wait, someone making even a little effort will simply move ahead of you.
I prefer men who are already aching. Men who specifically miss me. Men who think about me when I’m nowhere near them and let me know it without turning that desire into a demand. Men who are delighted when I choose them because they were already hoping I would. I want to be the one in charge. I do not want to be the sole source of momentum.
Submission means surrendering the lead. It does not mean surrendering your participation in the dynamic.
Let me be very clear about something, because it matters. I want to lead you. Leading is my nature. Reading tone, calibrating rhythm, deciding when to pull you closer and when to let the silence do the work for me. Being the shot caller. That’s not effort for me. That’s pleasure. But there is a difference between being led and being dragged. When I lead, your desire is already awake and leaning toward mine, and all I have to do is take the wheel that’s been offered. When I drag you, I’m manufacturing tension on one end of a wire while the other end just… hangs there.
One of those is domination. The other is admin.
And here’s the part some men miss: if I am spending my time with you, you have already been chosen. I do not keep men around out of obligation. If you are getting my attention, my conversation, my imagination, my dominance, you are already inside a fairly selective circle. You do not need a fresh ceremonial summoning every time to prove that.
What keeps me reaching for you is what happens between us once I do.
Some of the men I most enjoy coming back to are the ones who let their desire show. A message because he was thinking about me. A confession that he missed me. A tip or tribute with a note that tells me he wanted to make me feel cherished, spoiled, appreciated. A delicious little reminder that something I said three days ago is still working on him. Or simply: I’d love some time with you today, Goddess. Do you have a window for me?
That doesn’t create pressure. It creates pull.
Now, I understand the fantasy underneath “summon me.” You want the relief of being chosen. You want the decision taken out of your hands. You want a powerful woman to want you enough to reach for you first.
That fantasy is beautiful. And here’s the secret: it works better when you feed it.
The men who get summoned are not the ones who sat back and waited beautifully enough. They’re the ones who became difficult to forget. They gave me something to anticipate. They left enough of themselves with me that, days later, I could still feel the shape of the dynamic and want another taste of it.
That is how you become easy to reach for.
The fantasy of “summon me” isn’t wrong. The entitlement is.
There’s a certain kind of man who thinks submission means stillness. He presents himself like an object on a shelf and believes his willingness is the whole offering. But willingness is the entry fee, not the experience. What draws me is a man who radiates something back: hunger, curiosity, responsiveness, devotion with a pulse.
If you want to know what makes me ache to dominate someone, it’s reaction. I want to feel that what I do lands. That my tone moves through you. That you are already hungry enough for my attention that a little of it makes you hungrier. That a single sentence from me rearranges your breath. You can’t receive a woman like me passively. You have to arrive in the dynamic.
That is what makes me wet. Not your availability. Not your willingness to be used. Your reaction. The feeling that I can touch the dynamic and something alive reaches back.
And responsiveness is a skill. The best submissives I’ve known learn what I love. They remember what I said last time. They show up already warm. They bring their desire to me like a gift instead of standing there expecting me to manufacture it for them. That’s not topping from the bottom. That’s giving me something worth leading.
The men I most love to lead may absolutely adore being summoned. They may become almost ridiculously eager the instant I call for them. But they don’t disappear into stillness between those moments. They miss me. They tell me they miss me. They beg beautifully.
Goddess, I miss you. I keep thinking about what you said to me.
There is an enormous difference between letting me feel how much you want me and making your wanting my responsibility.
And when I do give them my attention, they receive it like it mattered. They tell me what landed. What stayed. What they haven’t stopped thinking about. Not because I require constant applause, but because reciprocity is hot as fuck. My attention lights them up, and their response is what brings me back for more.
So here’s the distinction I want you to understand. “Summon me” is a directive, and I don’t take directives from submissives. Even “I come alive when you summon me” only means something if you are alive between the summonings too. If you simply wait for me to create the next spark, you’ve turned a dynamic into a recurring task.
It doesn’t take much to change that:
I ache for you, Goddess. Let me know when you have time for me.
Now I can feel you reaching back.
That’s what turns me on: continuity. I want to know my attention stayed with you. I want all that anticipation to have been quietly building when I wasn’t there. I want to say You. Here. Now, and feel everything you’ve been carrying rush toward me at once.
So yes, come when I call. Come eagerly. Come already full of everything you’ve been holding for me.
Give me something that lingers.
Give me something that reaches back.
Then I’ll decide what happens next…
And if you’ve done it well, I may already be thinking about the next time before you’ve even recovered from this one.
